'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League homecoming

Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his interest in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year contract he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which marked the maiden significant honor of his notable career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he previously was, and would definitely contemplate lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had eluded him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
