Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
