The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
